Yesterday, officers of the American Canyon Police Department engaged in a high-speed chase that tore through the sleepy streets. A white Mazda refused to cooperate with a routine traffic stop near Newell Drive and Donaldson Way, kicking off a pursuit that stretched from American Canyon to Vallejo and onto westbound Highway 80, according to the American Canyon Police Department.

The pursuit reached its conclusion when the fleeing vehicle, having lost a tire, collided with the median on Highway 80 near San Pablo Dam Road. Pursued by officers after abandoning the damaged car, the driver, identified as Dorian Watts, was caught following a brief sprint on foot. With California Highway Patrol lending their aide, the remaining trio in the vehicle, including Sergio Hernandez, Javier Arredondo, and a juvenile, were apprehended without incident. They were all found to be San Francisco residents.

A thorough search of the Mazda unearthed more than just traffic violations; it had been reported stolen. Two loaded firearms, one of which had recently gone missing from Berkeley and the other a ghost gun without a serial number, were among the illicit cargo. The recovered articles didn't end there: ski masks, gloves, a stolen license plate, several key fobs, multiple wallets, and various forms of identification were also found.

After receiving treatment for minor injuries, Watts, Hernandez, and Arredondo faced a new destination: the Napa County Jail. The tableau of charges arrayed against them included felony evasion, possession of stolen property, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, among others. The juvenile was released to the care of a family member, having been swept up in the night's escapades. As for Watts, he contends with 11 felonies, "including on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Santa Clara County for failure to appear in court," as stated by the American Canyon Police Department's social media post.
