
Tragedy has once again struck the city of San José as police report the 16th homicide of the year. On Sunday evening, San José Police were called to the 1300 Block of Santee Drive following reports of a shooting. Arriving at the scene, they located an adult male with a gunshot wound.
Despite immediate life-saving efforts by medical personnel, the victim, whose name remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin, was transported to a local hospital. There, his battle ended as he was pronounced deceased, becoming the city's latest fatality in a series of violent acts. As of now, the suspect remains at large, having fled the scene before officers arrived, as reported by the SJPD.
Investigators from the San José Police Department’s Homicide Unit are now spearheading the case, combing through evidence and potential leads to apprehend the unknown suspect.
