
San José authorities are amidst an investigation following the city's 15th homicide of the year, an alarming incident involving an adult male victim who suffered fatal stab wounds yesterday. As per the San José Police Department, officers responded to an emergency call on the 90 Block of South 2nd Street and, despite lifesaving efforts at the scene and subsequent transport to a local hospital, the victim was pronounced dead.
The stabbing, which occurred around 12:51 AM, remains enshrouded with mystery as the suspect managed to evade police before they arrived at the scene. Details surrounding the altercation before the stabbing are still unclear. However, investigators believe that witnesses may have caught the event on cellphone video. None have been identified, but they are urged to come forward with any footage or information. The victim's identity is yet to be disclosed, pending notification from the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner, responsible for its official release.
