Eastern Oregonians are set to have their voices heard as U.S. Senator Ron Wyden gears up for a series of town halls in the region. According to an announcement on Senator Wyden's official website, the Oregon Democrat will be hosting open-to-all town halls in five counties, continuing his commitment to engage with constituents across his home state.

With a record of holding 1,124 town halls, Senator Ron Wyden is continuing his commitment to engage with constituents across all 36 Oregon counties. From July 25 through July 27, he is scheduled to host town halls in Sherman, Wheeler, Gilliam, Morrow, and Wallowa counties. These sessions provide residents in Eastern Oregon an opportunity to share concerns and feedback directly with their senator on current issues and policies under discussion in Washington, D.C.

Senator Wyden emphasized the importance of holding town halls across Oregon, stating, “Our state's location thousands of miles away from Washington, DC makes it a must that elected officials hold open-to-all town halls in communities affected by decisions made in our nation’s capital.” The upcoming events are intended to give residents a platform to voice their concerns and engage directly with their elected representative.

According to a release from Senator Wyden’s office, the upcoming town hall series will begin on Friday, July 25, in Sherman County at the Wasco School Events Center. On Saturday, July 26, events will be held in Wheeler County at Wheeler High School, followed by Gilliam County at Veterans Memorial Hall. The series continues on Sunday, July 27, with town halls in Morrow County at the SAGE Center and in Wallowa County at Hearts for Health Integrated Care. Each venue will open its doors one hour prior to the event. For security reasons, attendees are asked not to bring backpacks or large bags.

For additional details about town hall times and Senator Wyden’s initiatives, residents are encouraged to visit the senator’s official website. The town hall series is part of Wyden’s regular outreach efforts to engage with constituents and gather input on issues affecting their communities.
