
In a move welcomed by the community, the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office has announced the promotion of two veteran officers to the rank of Administrative Lieutenant. The announcement, which was made via a Sevier County Sheriff's Office post, outlines the advancements of Lt. Brad Sawyer and Lt. Leia Loveday.
According to the post, Lt. Brad Sawyer joined the Sheriff's Office back in 2012 and has since served in various divisions such as Corrections, Patrol, and Traffic. In his new role, he is set to oversee the Communications and Records Divisions. Similarly, Lt. Leia Loveday, who has been with the department since 2001, has worked across Communications, Patrol, and as a Detective. She is slated to take the helm of the Court Security Division.
The Sevier County Sheriff's Office publicly expressed congratulations to both Sawyer and Loveday for their "well-earned promotions." "Your commitment and outstanding service in each division you’ve served have prepared you for this next step," read the announcement. "We look forward to the positive impact your leadership will bring to these essential areas of our agency."
The promotions of Sawyer and Loveday represent not just individual career milestones, but also the ongoing evolution and professional development within the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office.
