On the evening of Thursday, a routine traffic stop by the Seymour Police Department escalated into the discovery and confiscation of a medley of drugs including methamphetamine, fentanyl, and marijuana, as well as related paraphernalia and a significant sum of cash. The encounter took place at the intersection of two US highways, specifically US-50 and US-31, where a silver Ford SUV was pulled over for what began as simple traffic infractions.

According to a social media post by the Seymour Police Department, officers on the scene developed probable cause which led to a search of the SUV and its four occupants yielding several grams of methamphetamine syringe(s), amongst other items despite the fact that, while engaging with the vehicle's passengers, officers noticed one attempted to discreetly discard a baggy of what appeared to be methamphetamine.

The incident culminated in the arrests of Tressa Wells and Clayton Douglas, both domicile residents of Seymour, Indiana, who face charges including Dealing in Methamphetamine, a level 2 felony, and multiple counts of possession encompassing narcotics, methamphetamine, syringes, marijuana, and paraphernalia. Their fellow passengers, Bredon Keys of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Derrick Jones, share a subset of these charges, with their apprehensions specifically for possession-related offenses.

It is duly noted that all individuals involved in this incident are deemed innocent until proven guilty by the court of law.
