The Folsom Police Department has reported a significant traffic accident on the 300 block of E Bidwell St, leading to a considerable power outage that affected the area's traffic signals and the department's non-emergency phone lines. According to their Facebook update, the police have instructed drivers to treat any intersections with malfunctioning traffic lights as a four-way stop.
“The outage is also impacting the non-emergency phone lines at Folsom Police Department. 911 lines are still functioning. Please only use 911 for emergencies,” the department statement reads, highlighting the impact of the outage on their communications.
Despite the initial disruption, Folsom Police later updated the public, ensuring that the traffic signals were again functioning, and that the phone lines at their station had been restored. The residents were thanked for their patience during the inconveniences caused by the accident.
