The BMW, driven by a 24-year-old male, was headed eastbound when it failed to navigate the roadway properly, according to police reports referenced by New York Post. Upon striking the divider, the vehicle went airborne and crashed into a westbound 2016 Honda CR-V and a red 2022 Hyundai. The scene, which was described as fiery, resulted in the BMW's hood being grotesquely peeled back from the force of the impact.
Emergency services rapidly transported the BMW's driver and a female passenger to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition. A 34-year-old woman, who was driving the Hyundai, was also taken to the hospital and reported to be in stable condition.
