A shooting yesterday morning in St. Louis left one man dead and three others injured. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 3:35 a.m. at the intersection of Chambers and North 9th Streets in the Near North Riverfront neighborhood, as reported by KSDK News. Upon arrival, officers discovered two 28-year-old men with gunshot wounds, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other man was rushed to the hospital where he remains in critical condition, according to a statement obtained by First Alert 4. Later, showing up at a local hospital with gunshot wounds, were two more men, aged 18 and 37. Initially shot near 9th and Chambers Street, they are now listed in stable condition.
Investigators are currently piecing together the events that led up to this incident. They are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact the St. Louis police. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided to CrimeStoppers, which may result in a reward for information leading to an arrest, according to a report by FOX2Now.
