The Brighton Recreation Center has just the thing with their annual overnight summer Camp Out, set to take place at the tranquil Barr Lake State Park. On Aug. 9 through Aug. 10, families, friends, and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to immerse themselves in a range of activities spanning from archery to canoeing, according to Brighton Recreation Center.
Registration is currently open for those looking to secure one of the limited 50-tent spaces available. Participants can begin setting up as early as 2 p.m. on Saturday and are advised that while some tents can be borrowed, it's strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. And if fishing is in your plans, remember, anyone aged 16 and upwards will need their valid fishing license.
The casually-paced event promises to be more than just pitching tents and casting lines. Along with the opportunity to glide across the lake in a canoe or kayak, archery enthusiasts can aim at targets, and everyone can end the evening sharing stories around the campfire with a classic treat.
