A brush fire near the Fear Factory haunted house in Salt Lake City prompted a swift response from fire crews, as smoke was visible in the surrounding area. According to the Salt Lake City Fire Department, the situation was dynamic as they worked to control the flames with what they described as an aggressive firefight, ABC4 reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it is known that the blaze originated in grass near the Fear Factory and spread to multiple large trees and vegetation before extending into a small outbuilding, KUTV stated. The fire led to the closure of 800 South, as fire crews needed to secure the area for their operations, affecting local traffic. No injuries were reported, and all three employees who were on the premises at the time have been accounted for.

Crews mounted a robust offensive against the blaze, deploying large quantities of water to extinguish the fire. While an outbuilding was destroyed and others sustained damage, the main Fear Factory building remained intact, FOX13 News elucidated. The fire department affirmed that no extension to any other buildings was evident.

"Jared Schreiner with the Salt Lake City Fire Department said the fire spread to multiple large trees and vegetation near the rail line, and extended into a small outbuilding structure," as reported by KUTV.
