A somber pall has been cast over Tacoma following a late-night shooting that claimed the life of an adult male. The Tacoma Police Department reported they responded to a possible shooting in the 8800 block of Pacific Avenue on June 27, 2025, arriving shortly before 11:00 p.m. The officers discovered an unresponsive man and immediately attempted to resuscitate him. Tragically, Tacoma Fire Department personnel declared the individual was dead upon their arrival, as they reported via a social media post.
With the community reeling from the incident, Tacoma Police detectives engaged in an in-depth investigation that yielded probable cause for the arrest of a suspect. In a methodical display of justice slowly unfurling its intent, the detectives pinpointed a 38-year-old male believed to be connected to the shooting. During their mission, with the combined forces of the Special Investigations and the Tacoma SWAT Team, the suspect was tracked down and arrested on Monday.
The suspect was incarcerated in the Pierce County Jail, charged with Murder in the First Degree.
