Yesterday afternoon, a harrowing incident unfolded in Taunton, Massachusetts when a scooter was involved in a multi-vehicle accident that left a teenager severely injured and two others harmed. According to WJAR, a 16-year-old boy required emergency air transport to a hospital following the collision that took place around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Cohannet and Silver streets. The crash, involving the teenager's scooter and two cars, sparked an immediate response from local law enforcement and emergency services.
Details given by Boston 25 News also indicated that a passenger aboard the scooter, a 15-year-old boy, was taken to Morton Hospital along with a 51-year-old woman driving a Toyota Camry. The second car, a Toyota RAV4 driven by an 81-year-old woman, saw its driver escape the ordeal physically unscathed, although the psychological aftermath of such an encounter remains unreported. The names of the individuals involved have not been released, and it’s still unclear as to who, if anyone, will face charges in the wake of the crash.
