The Melt, a San Francisco-based fast-casual chain known for its all-natural comfort food—including what they claim is the "World’s Meltiest Burger"—has opened a new location in the Novus Place center, right beside Arizona State University (ASU). According to a statement obtained by Restaurant News, this is The Melt's second venture in Maricopa County, hot on the heels of their Paradise Valley debut earlier in the year.
The festivities for their grand opening are set for July 17, and The Melt is rolling out the red carpet for ASU students and local residents. The first 100 patrons through the doors are in for a treat—a free MeltBurger, and there will be special prizes announced throughout theday. Ralph Bower, CEO of The Melt, shared his enthusiasm with ABC15, saying, “Expanding our footprint in the Greater Phoenix area with a second restaurant is an exciting milestone as we continue growing The Melt in vibrant, fast-growing markets.”
The Melt prides itself on handcrafted comfort food, with menu highlights including the MeltBurger—a fusion of Angus and Wagyu beef smashed and smothered in aged cheddar—and other fan favorites like grilled melts, crispy buttermilk-brined chicken sandwiches, and creamy mac & cheese. ABC15's coverage notes that The Melt's commitment to quality extends to a strict no artificial additives policy, ensuring that guests indulge in pure, unadulterated comfort food.
The burgeoning brand has been recognized as a mover and shaker, being named among the top 50 in the 2025 Fast Casual Top 100 Movers & Shakers. With this latest opening, The Melt isn't just serving up melty burgers—they're spreading their ethos of real-deal flavor and quality ingredients across the Phoenix Valley. Tempe citizens and ASU dwellers can now get their hands on a menu that oozes dedication to all things natural and tasty. For those eager to join the melty madness, The Melt is located at 777 S. Novus Place, Suite 111, and its doors open Sunday-Thursday from 10 a.m.–11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight, as detailed by Restaurant News.
