According to a report by News9, firefighters responded to a house fire near Southwest 76th Street and South Youngs Boulevard, where a woman was discovered inside the residence and rushed to the hospital in a critical state; she succumbed to her injuries later.
The Oklahoma City Fire Department grappled with the blaze that emerged from the single-story home, initially responding to what seemed a check-smoke call, as KOCO 5 reported, smoke was seen billowing from the structure upon their arrival, and after searching the house, the firefighters found the woman who would ultimately lose her fight for life after being transported to an area hospital.
Further details on the cause of the fire are currently under investigation, with the initial flames seemingly concentrated in the garage of the home.
