As University of Cincinnati graduates, they reminisce about their childhood induction into the business realm by their father's restaurants and bars in Akron, Ohio and remember their early endeavours including a lawn service and a noteworthy paper route, this according to a recent interview, these experiences laying the groundwork for a rigorous work ethic and a fraternal business synergy that would follow them into adulthood; one without the other is not the story for these brothers, as their paths have been interwoven between positions at high-profile companies like Blue Shield of California, Salesforce, and Uber – and all this, thanks to an unspoken, some might say nearly telepathic, understanding and mutual support you'd expect from siblings this close.
Digging into their past, the Aronsons credit the co-op program at their alma mater as a critical step that helped shape their career outline, with Chad telling UC News, "The co-op program was paramount to our success." Neil added, "It's critical to get real-life experience in a business environment and context before you start working full-time as an employee." Lee pointed out the importance of varied experiences, advocating to current students to "get as much experience as you can – you don’t necessarily need to stay in the same company."
Their joint appearances sharing the story of their careers and their bond have taken them far, from speaking engagements at Apex Assembly conferences to the VISIONS’s CIO Leadership Summit in Las Vegas, with future plans to take these talks to UC; all this underscores a camaraderie that not only survived but thrived in the competitive Silicon Valley environment, and it's not about sibling rivalry – for them, it's about camaraderie, about supporting one another in every endeavor, as Neil pointed out to UC News, recalling Chad's direct support during his eight and a half years at Uber and Lee's partnership at Blue Shield, simply put, they're a package deal where one's success is everyone's gain and that's the story they're out here to tell.
