The Beaver Falls Police Department responded to the incident on the 300 block of 12th Street shortly after 10 p.m., where they discovered a 47-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the leg, CBS News Pittsburgh reported.

The confrontation began when someone, later identified as 20-year-old Jaden Stull, allegedly threw fireworks near a group of children. This act precipitated a fight, during which Stull is accused of pointing a gun at the victim. According to police, the victim, whose identity has not been released, tackled Stull, which led to four shots being discharged. The altercation resulted in the victim being shot in the leg, and he subsequently required transportation to a Pittsburgh hospital for advanced medical attention. Police added that in the course of the struggle, Stull also suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his hand, WTAE reported.

Both the unidentified victim and Stull are reported to be in stable condition. In the aftermath of the incident, local authorities issued a warrant for Stull’s arrest. He is facing several charges, including aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, firearms violations, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person.
