Two teenage boys became the latest victims of gun violence in northwest Atlanta over the weekend when they were shot during what police suspect was the same incident. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the city's police department responded to the 800 block of Hollywood Road NW around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday and found a 15-year-old with a gunshot wound to the right arm, who was subsequently hospitalized and is expected to make a full recovery.

Shortly thereafter, in a seemingly connected event, another 15-year-old boy was discovered with a bullet wound to his left arm at the intersection of Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard NW and Lena Street NW; he was also conscious and breathing at the time he was transported to a hospital for treatment, as officers try to piece together the details of the shooting that took place in a neighborhood repeatedly bruised by the sound of gunshots and the pain they carry.

The Atlanta Police Department’s Aggravated Assault Unit has taken up the investigation into the shootings, the Atlanta police have not released any information on potential suspects or the precise location of where the teens were shot, merely where they were found, Atlanta News First has reported.
