Heads up, commuters and night owls in Jefferson Parish: the work crews will be hitting LA 3152, otherwise known as Clearview Parkway, starting tonight. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has called for recurring lane closures due to roadwork that's scheduled to kick off at 7:30 PM tonight, July 21 and will run through to 6 AM on Friday, July 25. The construction is part of an ongoing project, identified by the DOTD, as H.015780, aiming to enhance curb appeal, improve handicap ramps, maintain catch basins, and patch up the concrete that has seen better days.
According to an announcement from the DOTD, the work will affect parts of Clearview Parkway stretching from the Huey P Long to US 61, known to locals as Airline Drive. Specific lane closures include a single lane closure that will start early in the evening, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. For those who favor the night, note that a double lane closure will take effect after 9:30 PM, so plan routes and schedules accordingly.
Commuters are advised to stay alert for signage and be prepared for some detours or delays along their usual paths. These disruptions will be in place each night starting today, July 21, and carry on through Thursday night, July 24, the DOTD reports. Weather permitting, all activities should wrap up by the morning of Friday, July 25, hopefully returning Clearview Parkway back to its regular flow.
