Commuters in Orleans Parish are set to experience lane and shoulder closures due to road construction on LA 428 (General Meyer Ave) starting today, July 20. According to the Department of Transportation and Development, eastbound traffic on General Meyer Avenue will see a partial closure of the right lane, stretching from Behrman Ave to Holiday Dr, beginning at 6:00 PM.
These closures will be recurring nightly from 6 PM to 4 AM until the morning of Friday, July 25, if the weather permits. On the westbound and eastbound sides, a shoulder closure will begin tomorrow, July 21, at 9:00 AM, and this too, will be a recurring disruption weekday mornings until 3 PM on Friday.
