The Canutillo Independent School District has welcomed back a familiar face, according to a recent post on their official website. Veronica M. Campbell has taken up the mantle as the district's new purchasing agent, starting from July 14, with the responsibility of overseeing procurement and purchasing operations.

Campbell boasts a professional background that includes a previous stint in the very role she fills now, from 2015 to 2016. Since then, she has accumulated nearly 15 years of experience in the procurement field, having worked for not only the Canutillo ISD but also the El Paso and Clint independent school districts and the City of El Paso. Superintendent Dr. Pedro Galaviz spoke on her rehire, saying, "We are thrilled to welcome back Ms. Campbell to Canutillo, and count on her wealth of experience. Her knowledge of procurement procedures and laws will help us streamline our efforts to provide services and goods to our students, employees and taxpayers," according to Canutillo ISD.

Academically, Campbell holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science, with a concentration in Spanish, from the University of Texas at El Paso. She furthered her education by obtaining a master's degree in management and leadership from Webster University.

Add to her educational accolades, Campbell is also a Certified Texas Contract Manager, a TASBO Registered Texas School Business Administrator, and a Certified Public Procurement Officer. This blend of education and certification, backed by substantial experience, positions her as a suitably qualified individual for managing the demands of Canutillo's procurement operations.
