
Early this morning, a woman was stabbed in an unincorporated area of North Broward, as confirmed by the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO). The incident, which took place near the 3800 block of North Powerline Road, was reported shortly before 4 a.m. Deputies who arrived on the scene found the woman with a stab wound. She was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening, detailed in a report by Local 10.
Intensifying their investigation, deputies were able to quickly locate the suspect's vehicle. It was found near the 5700 block of Rock Island Road in Tamarac. Despite this, BSO has not confirmed if they have yet to make any arrests, according to information shared with NBC Miami. BSO Special Victims Unit detectives are actively investigating the circumstances that led up to the stabbing.
The identity of the woman has been kept confidential during this ongoing investigation. Detectives determined the incident to be a domestic one, in which a man reportedly stabbed the woman before fleeing the scene in his vehicle. Following this lead, video captured deputies climbing the stairs at an apartment building, indicating the progress of their search.
