Philly Pretzel Factory, founded in 1998 by Dan DiZio and Len Lehman, operates more than 170 locations nationwide. The Worcester store will be the second location in Massachusetts, joining an existing shop in Revere. The new store takes over the former spot of Wholly Cannoli, a bakery that closed in 2024, according to MassLive. The menu at Philly Pretzel Factory extends beyond traditional soft pretzels, with offerings such as pretzel dogs, which encase hot dogs in a pretzel exterior instead of the customary bun, and an array of dips.
