The city of Worcester will soon be home to a new Philly Pretzel Factory location, with doors set to open at 490 Grafton St. on the morning of July 9, at 9 a.m. In an announcement on the company's Instagram, it was revealed that visitors to the store on opening day can expect to receive a complimentary soft pretzel.

Furthermore, a grand opening event is scheduled for Friday, July 11, starting at noon. The festivities are to include not only free pretzels and dips, but also entertainment provided by a balloon twister, MassLive reported. A notable highlight of the grand opening is a giveaway, where attendees have the chance to win a free PlayStation 5, as per the company's post.

Those interested in the PlayStation 5 giveaway have a timeframe from July 9 to July 11 at 1:00 p.m. to stop by and complete an entry form. This was confirmed in a Philly Pretzel Factory - Worcester's post.

Philly Pretzel Factory, founded in 1998 by Dan DiZio and Len Lehman, operates more than 170 locations nationwide. The Worcester store will be the second location in Massachusetts, joining an existing shop in Revere. The new store takes over the former spot of Wholly Cannoli, a bakery that closed in 2024, according to MassLive. The menu at Philly Pretzel Factory extends beyond traditional soft pretzels, with offerings such as pretzel dogs, which encase hot dogs in a pretzel exterior instead of the customary bun, and an array of dips.
