Residents and travelers in Wright County should note that the BNSF Railroad has announced scheduled maintenance that will temporarily close parts of County Highway 3 and County Highway 153. The affected areas near the railroad crossings just south of State Highway 12 in Cokato will see the commencement of track repairs starting July 23rd. Wright County Highway Department confirms that County Highway 153 will be the first to close, followed by County Highway 3 the day after.
According to the same announcement, this work, if the weather cooperates, will go on from Wednesday through Friday, July 25th. Travelers would like to be on the lookout for closed roads, but a formal detour will not be provided by the officials. So, setting out through these swathes of Wright County, please consider finding your way around by another route.
Interruptions to daily commutes and plans can cause inconvenience, so the county's advice is to adapt travel arrangements accordingly during this period. Local businesses and emergency services have been notified and will also adjust their routes to maintain services. The officials are requesting travelers and commuters to exercise patience and understanding while the upgrades to the railway infrastructure, ensuring better safety and service in the future, are being completed.
For additional information or if you have any queries, the Wright County Highway Department encourages reaching out to them by calling 763-682-7383, any time between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The citizens, as they have had to adapt to similar closures before, are thanked for their understanding and patience as these crucial upgrades ensure the long-term efficiency and safety of the county's transportation routes.
