The Yuba County Sheriff's Department is restarting its Citizen's Academy program after a short break. Starting September 17, the 12-week program will be held every Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. It gives local residents an overview of how the Sheriff's Office operates, as reported by the Yuba County Sheriff's Department.
The program is restarting after a pause last spring and is now open to participants interested in volunteering, exploring a public safety career, or learning more about the local institution. It is free and open to residents aged 18 and older. Space is limited, and the application deadline is September 15, as stated by the Yuba County Sheriff's Department.
According to the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department on their Facebook page, applications for the Citizen’s Academy are now being accepted.
