People were arrested in Houston for a series of home invasions targeting Asian families. At least eight suspects were involved in multiple incidents, including a March case where a homeowner was attacked and his family locked in a closet, with $4,000 in safes, jewelry, and credit cards stolen. The group is also linked to another robbery where a safe containing $170,000 was taken. Kevin Alexander Parada, Roberto Guevara, and Arturo Diaz Esparza are among those charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping, according to Click2Houston.
Federal and local authorities are investigating a Houston-area criminal network linked to gangs from Mexico, Honduras, and Colombia. Suspects, including Miguel Angel Flores-Magana, William Alexander Flores, and Ramon Carranza-Chavez, have been arrested. The group is accused of targeting Asian households, with victims reporting assaults, threats, and confinement. The investigation began after a Plano burglary ring and connections through an informant led to the arrests, while some charges are still pending, as reported by ABC13.
The victims experienced psychological and property impacts from the crimes. Investigations are ongoing to dismantle the criminal network. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is holding several suspects on theft charges, and some have immigration holds due to their residency status.
