A tragic incident unfolded over the weekend in northeast Oklahoma City, where a 17-year-old girl was fatally shot at a home located near Northeast 20th Street and Bath Avenu. Oklahoma City Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Saturday and discovered the young victim within the residence, as per KOCO.
The victim, identified as Shyanne Crawford, 17, was urgently taken to an area hospital following the shooting incident and there she was pronounced dead, the Oklahoma City Police Department noted the suspect initially fled on foot but was subsequently apprehended, and has been booked into the Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Center on a murder complaint, according to News 9.
The suspect, a 17-year-old male, ran from the crime scene before being taken into custody. His name has been withheld due to his age, and he now faces serious charges, as per KFOR.
