
Tragedy unfolded in Wells-Goodfellow last night as a young life hung in the balance following a shooting incident. At approximately 12:15 a.m., St. Louis Police officers were summoned to the 5800 block of Kennerly Avenue, as detailed in a press release from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. On arrival, law enforcement found a crashed Pontiac with a gunshot victim and later came into contact with a young woman connected to the event.
An 18-year-old male was seriously injured in a shooting while riding in a stolen Pontiac and was rushed to a local hospital. Authorities described his condition as critical but stable. An 18-year-old female, who arrived shortly after the incident, provided police with additional information. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the vehicle theft and the shooting, with the investigation ongoing.
