A tragic accident occurred early this morning on Torrey Pines Rd. in La Jolla, as reported by the San Diego Police Department. A 20-year-old woman, whose identity has not yet been released, sustained life-threatening injuries after her Honda CBR500R motorcycle collided with the center median.
According to a press release sent via email by the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 3:11 AM. The motorcyclist was ejected off the bike, causing multiple critical injuries, no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The woman was transported to a local hospital, and her prognosis is dire.
The SDPD Traffic Division has taken charge of the investigation to understand the circumstances leading to the accident. Presently, there is no information suggesting the involvement of other parties, but the inquiry is ongoing.
