On Monday evening, a fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Highway 26 in Baker County, Oregon. According to statements made by the Oregon State Police, a Kawasaki Ninja operated by 74-year-old Michael Allen Klaus of Stanfield crashed near milepost 221.

Klaus was traveling westbound when he reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and slid into a ditch. The accident led to a temporary shutdown of the affected portion of the highway for around two hours as authorities conducted an on-scene investigation, as reported by the Oregon State Police
