On a night over two decades ago, Castro Valley became the scene of a tragic and unsolved homicide that, to this day, remains a mystery. The Alameda County Sheriff's Office has again highlighted the unsolved case of Bhupinder Kumar, known to his friends as Bobby, who at the age of 31, lost his life in a brutal stabbing outside Muggs Night Club. According to a social media post from the Sheriff's office, witnesses saw an altercation between Bhupinder and the suspect in the parking lot shortly before the stabbing took place.

Details of the incident reveal Bhupinder suffered multiple stab wounds in the chest. Struggling to piece together the events of that fateful night, authorities described the suspect as a Hispanic male, standing between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 150-170 pounds. He was reported to have fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV-type vehicle, which a Black female drove. Having left the club, the suspect and woman vanished into the unknown direction, their identities and motives still unclear.
