The Chariton County Route KK bridge over Puzzle Creek, just east of Keytesville, will be temporarily closed tomorrow, for deck surface repairs. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) announced the project and advises motorists to plan ahead and use alternate routes while the work is underway.
The disruption will affect traffic from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., leading to a complete closure of Route KK from U.S. Route 24 to Route VV. MoDOT has made it clear that finding a different path is mandatory during this period. They also encourage drivers to always remember to buckle up, avoid distractions like phone use, slow down, and to be cautious and courteous by moving over in work zones.
Detours and traffic updates can be reliably found by visiting MoDOT’s official website, where travelers can sign up for real-time information on work zones. For those preferring a more direct line of communication, MoDOT is reachable around the clock at their toll-free number 888-ASK-MODOT (275-6636) or via their assorted social media channels.
