
An arrest has been made in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred on June 11 in Atlanta, Georgia. The Atlanta Police Department has taken Mr. Daquonta Hunter into custody for his alleged involvement in the incident that left a man dead from a gunshot wound to the chest at 1739 Martin L King JR DR NW. According to the Atlanta Police Department's official release, Hunter was apprehended at the State Farm Arena last Saturday.
At approximately 9:54 PM on the aforementioned date in June, officers had initially responded to reports of a person shot at the MLK Drive location. When discovered in the tragic hues of blue and red, the victim's life was pronounced extinguished on the scene by attending medical personnel.
The arrest of Mr. Hunter unfolded after off-duty officers, working an extra job, were alerted by an individual who recognized Hunter. This tip led the officers to Hunter's location at the arena, and they managed to take him into custody without any further incident. He is now facing charges including Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a Felony, as he languishes in the confines of the Fulton County Jail, as detailed by the Atlanta Police Department.
