Yesterday morning, the familiar calm of West Midtown's retail scene was once again interrupted by a the sound of shattering glass at a Lululemon store on Howell Mill Road. The Atlanta Police Department is actively investigating what is presumed to be another smash-and-grab incident at this upscale athletic wear location, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta. Detectives were spotted collecting evidence amongst the debris left on the sidewalk, although no details concerning the stolen items have been disclosed to the public as of yet.
This crime marks the latest in a concerning trend for the business, and notably the fourth such event in the past year. Just last month, two individuals—a man and a woman—brazenly made off with more than $450 worth of apparel from the same store, and earlier this year, two others were apprehended following the heist of a staggering $38,709.59 in merchandise. Their failed getaway, culminating in a traffic stop revealing clothing still tagged and hanged, was confirmed by Atlanta News First.
