Memphis has borne witness to an attempted robbery, thankfully interrupted, saving a resident from potential loss or harm. According to a report from the Memphis Police Department, the incident took place last Friday, at 7:14 p.m. at the intersection of Range Line Road and Bethlehem Avenue. The reported circumstances begin with a collision, where a red Chevrolet Malibu struck the rear passenger side of the victim's car.
After pulling over, the victim recounted that the Chevrolet's driver emerged with a handgun and demanded, "Give me everything." The second individual, a Black male from the passenger side, did not actively participate in the confrontation. Meanwhile, an interruption from a passerby – described as an unknown heavy-set Black male – calling out to the suspect seemingly deterred the crime, resulting in the suspects fleeing without taking any belongings or injuring the victim, as reported by the Memphis Police Department.
