In what has become a heartening annual tradition, the Boston Police Department (BPD) once again stepped outside of its conventional role to support local students at the Back-to-School Celebration at TD Garden. This community event, which was hosted in partnership with The Salvation Army Massachusetts Division and the TD Garden, is designed to set students up for success with necessary supplies as they embark on a new academic year.
The celebration, detailed in a recent announcement by the Boston Police Department, saw Commissioner Cox, the Command Staff, officers, BPD Academy Recruits, and Cadets working together to help thousands of students from across Boston. These officials aided families in selecting school items and provided warm coats for the chilly months ahead. "We’re grateful to be part of this impactful tradition that helps prepare the next generation for success," the BPD stated.
