Following a recent string of break-ins, Boston Police have apprehended a suspect in connection to a South End burglary. The arrest took place roughly a week after the initial incident, wherein a perpetrator invaded a residence on Worcester Street through a rooftop entry. Officers on bicycle patrol near Massachusetts Avenue recognized Bradley Webber, a 30-year-old from West Roxbury, on the afternoon of Monday, August 18, 2025, and took him into custody based on an outstanding warrant.
According to the official report released by Boston Police Department, Webber was wanted on charges including "Breaking and Entering a Building, Nighttime for Felony" and "Larceny from a Building." Police assert the suspect had illegally accessed an apartment early on Tuesday, August 12, procuring electronics and prescription medication while the residents were still inside. The success of the bicycle patrol in spotting and detaining Webber serves to ever remind the community of the importance of vigilant and ever-present law enforcement.
The original breaking and entering was reported after the victims discovered the breach and subsequent theft. The suspect allegedly managed to break into the apartment around 5:00 AM by infiltrating through the roof deck door. The details of the crime left many in the neighborhood feeling uneasy about the security of their homes, particularly regarding unconventional entry points not regularly monitored.
Bradley Webber is scheduled for arraignment in Boston Municipal Court. During the proceedings, the charges against the defendant will be formally presented. Boston Police continue their efforts to maintain public safety and encourage anyone with information on similar incidents to come forward.
