This morning, Brentwood was broken by the swift action of local law enforcement. Brentwood Police officers were dispatched to the Blossom Apartment complex on the 1100 block of Alder Creek Way at approximately 4:45 AM, shortly before the sun peeked above the horizon. The officers' quick response led to an encounter with two individuals now tied to a string of mail thefts across the area.
Upon arriving at the scene, the officers contacted 35-year-old Robert Cabrerapulos of Pittsburg and 42-year-old Tanis Wallunas of Concord. Their investigation didn't take long to unearth evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. A search of the suspects' vehicle revealed a treasure trove of illicit goods, over 40 pieces of mail, reportedly stolen from various addresses throughout the surrounding region. But the ill-gotten bounty did not end there; officers also discovered burglars' tools, drugs, and drug paraphernalia.
According to a social media post by the City of Brentwood Police Department, Cabrerapulos and Wallunas were arrested on multiple charges. These include burglary, mail theft, conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of burglary tools, and drug-related offenses. The duo was promptly transported to the Martinez Detention Facility, where they were booked. This removed them from the streets and potentially prevented future thefts.
