The Brentwood Police Department is actively seeking help from the public following a string of vandalism attacks that have plagued the city. As posted on their Brentwood Police Department's Facebook page, the authorities have identified a person of interest as 48-year-old Arpy Yap of Daly City. Yap is currently suspected of deliberately sabotaging the tires of vehicles owned, particularly by solo female drivers in various parking lots across Brentwood.
Described incidents involve victims finding their car tires vandalized or deflated upon return, and coincidentally, Yap is accused of appearing shortly afterwards to offer assistance in return for payment. Yap is said to be driving a blue Volkswagen Touareg, distinguishable by its roof rack, which may aid in his identification. The police urge anyone with information or additional victims to step forward and assist in the investigation.
