Art enthusiasts, get ready to mark your calendars. Brighton's annual Art in the Park festival is back, promising a cornucopia of visual treats and live performances. As reported by the City of Brighton, the event is set to unfold in the sprawling greens of Carmichael Park, located at 650 E. Southern Street, on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free festival extends an open invitation to all, offering a space to meet a diverse collection of artists, from local talents to international names.
In a fusion of culture and rhythm, the day will ignite with Quetzalcoatl Aztec Dance Fusion taking the stage at 10 a.m. The melodic baton will then be passed to Dancer’s Edge, with performances following from Polka Folka Band, Stage Images Dance Studio, Ricardo Pena Band, and will culminate with Skankin’ Nation Band playing until 3:15 p.m. Families attending the event will be designed to provided with interactive art activities for children, while enjoying the richness of the festival.
Alongside the visual and performing arts, the festival caters to the foodies among us. A variety of food trucks will set up shop, providing a selection of delectable eats to festival-goers.
