The Broward Sheriff's Office is actively seeking information on suspects connected to a drive-by shooting that occurred earlier this month in Pompano Beach. A residential home was barraged with gunfire in the early hours of last Wednesday. The incident took place near the 1300 block of Northwest 27th Avenue, as the BSO released in a recent statement.
According to BSO spokeswoman Gerdy St. Louis, a light-colored vehicle was captured by surveillance footage as it approached the home, reversed back into view, and two subjects were seen exiting the vehicle before unloading more than a dozen rounds into the residence. No one was inside the home at the time of the shooting and no injuries have been reported in the surrounding area. This information comes directly from a news release provided by BSO and reported by Local10.com.
Witnesses or anyone with potential insights into the incident are encouraged to reach out to BSO's Violent Crimes Unit. Detective Lisa Almanza-Londono is handling the case and can be reached at 754-333-0693. Tips can also be submitted through the SaferWatch app. "Surveillance video of the incident shows a light-colored vehicle driving by the home," stated St. Louis in the video evidence briefing, as per Local10.
For anyone preferring anonymity but wishing to aid the investigation, Broward County Crime Stoppers is an available channel. They can be contacted at 954-493-TIPS; tipsters may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000 if their information leads to an arrest and conviction.
