In honor of the Labor Day holiday, city offices, libraries, and various facilities in Buckeye will take a day off on Monday, September 1, resuming their usual hustle at 8 a.m. the following day, which is Tuesday, September 2, according to a recent announcement on the city's official website.
Although city offices will be closed for Labor Day, the celebration continues at the Buckeye Aquatics Center, where residents can enjoy the final pool party of summer from noon to 5 p.m. Entry is $2, while those with a military ID can claim four free admissions. Trash and recycling services will run as usual on Monday, and residents are asked to place containers at the curb by 5:30 a.m., as per the City of Buckeye.
Additionally, a notable shift comes to bulk trash pick-up in September, transitioning to an appointment-based system designed to better fit resident schedules, with scheduling available starting September 4 through the city's website, as echoed in the announcement.
