
Butts County is seeking a Part-Time Senior Center Activity Coordinator to support the programming and daily operations of its Senior Center. The individual in this role will be responsible for organizing and facilitating daily, weekly, and monthly activities for senior participants, as well as coordinating special events, outings, and volunteer engagement.
According to the county’s announcement, the position requires a dependable individual with strong customer service skills, the ability to work independently, and sound judgment. The coordinator will lead a range of activities such as arts and crafts, exercise classes, and other programs.
Additional responsibilities include recruiting volunteers, planning events, gathering participant feedback, collaborating with community and civic organizations, maintaining participation records, and representing the center in both in-person and phone interactions. The coordinator may also be assigned to operate the center’s van or bus for client transportation.
Qualified candidates should have experience working with older adults, planning group activities or trips, and engaging in community outreach. A high school diploma or GED is required, and applicants must be at least 18 years old with a valid Georgia driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
