
Early this morning, Castle Rock Fire And Rescue Department units were dispatched to Castle Rock Elementary School following a fire alarm activation. According to a social media post by the Castle Rock Fire And Rescue Department, the call came in at around 2:10 a.m. for a commercial fire alarm. Firefighters, arriving at the scene, encountered an active fire in one of the mobile classrooms situated south of the main school building.
As per the official social media update, the responders immediately upgraded the incident to a commercial structure fire, which prompted help from additional units. After gaining entry, the units worked swiftly to put out the flames, conducted a search for any occupants, and checked to ensure the fire had not spread beyond the initial area of impact. It was reported that, engulfed by the night, the firefighters managed to control the situation without any injuries to themselves or civilians.
Though no casualties were declared, damage to the affected mobile classroom was significant. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation; however, authorities have indicated that the incident "does not appear to be suspicious in nature." Per the information provided by Castle Rock Fire And Rescue Department, the fire was extinguished completely, and operations concluded without further incident.
