The City of Chandler has launched LEAD Chandler, a program designed to help 17- to 24-year-olds develop professional and leadership skills. The initiative is a partnership between the City’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Division, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, and Chandler Unified School District. It begins with the Level Up Conference on October 18 at Chandler-Gilbert Community College, located at 2626 E. Pecos Road in Chandler, as reported by the City of Chandler.

The one-day conference, free to attend, begins with registration and breakfast at 8 a.m. Workshops run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and cover topics such as networking, career exploration, social media use, financial planning, and communication skills. According to the City of Chandler, participants will also take part in sessions on relationships, mindset building, and other subjects, with guidance from community leaders.

“Our partnership with the City of Chandler and Chandler Unified School District shows what can happen when education and local government come together to give young people the tools, connections and confidence to lead,” said Bettina Celis, Vice President of Student Affairs at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Registration for the Level Up Conference is open until September 30. The event includes breakfast and lunch, and details are available on the LEAD Chandler website, as stated by the City of Chandler.
