The Clinton Police Department disclosed these developments in a social media post, announcing that the conclusion of their investigation led to Wald's arrest, now facing class D felony charges.
As the case unfolded, the CPD highlighted its inability to comment earlier due to the criminal nature of the situation, which necessitated presentation before the Anderson County Grand Jury. It was only after this procedural step that Wald was "indicted on two counts of Child Abuse/Neglect under 8 years of age," resulting in her being arrested and booked into ACDF with a set bail at $50,000.
