The Contra Costa Sheriff's Office took to social media to mark the grim second anniversary of the unsolved homicide of Daniella Stephanie Avila, who was shot and killed in Rodeo while driving her vehicle late on August 26, 2023. Avila, 28 at the time, has left a seven-year-old son behind. Detectives are relentlessly working the case, still calling for anyone with information to step forward.
