The Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber Education Foundation is offering a helping hand to local educators with the launch of its new Education Micro Grant Program. This initiative is designed to directly support various projects that aim to enhance creativity and learning for students within the community.
Starting yesterday, public and charter school teachers in Coral Springs and Coconut Creek can apply for funding of up to $500. As mentioned in Coral Springs Talk, this grant money can be deployed towards fostering creativity or supplying essential resources to boost student engagement at elementary, middle, and high school levels. The application process calls for educators to prepare a project summary, budget, impact statement, and to secure principal approval.
The grant winners will be chosen by a review committee based on their proposals’ creativity and the direct benefits outlined for students. Priority will be given to projects that are feasible within the $500 cap, with an added advantage going to Chamber members. According to the Instagram post by the CSCCR Chamber, these micro grants aim to "support creative classroom projects that enrich student learning," highlighting the focus on educational innovation.
Notifications of award will be sent out by October 20, with the funds being distributed on November 8. This coincides with the Chamber's Race for Education event, as indicated by the Chamber. Award recipients are required to submit an impact report by June of the following year to track the benefits of the support received.
