Destrehan drivers should expect detours and delays due to road closures for construction. Ormond Center Court is closed from Rotolo's Pizza at 150 Ormond Center Court to Buddy's Frostop at 3001 Ormond Blvd. The construction is part of a city infrastructure improvement project, according to the St. Charles Parish.
Starting August 1, Jonathan Street is closed with no announced reopening date. St. Charles Parish officials advise drivers who use this route to take alternate roads like Bunge’s heavy haul road or Noel Street. Emergency vehicles are allowed to use the heavy haul road behind the facility, as reported by the St. Charles Parish.
On Monday, River Point Drive in St. Charles Parish will be closed to regular traffic from River Road (LA-48) to Live Oak Drive after school buses finish their morning routes until about 4 pm. Emergency vehicles will still be allowed to pass. LA 628 (CC Road) in St. Charles Parish is fully closed in both directions just north of Vickers Lane and the Railroad Crossing for road construction related to the Montz Pump Station Permit Project. The closure will continue until on Friday. Drivers should use detours via US 61, LA 3217, or LA 628 (River Road).
