The Detroit Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing 16-year-old girl, Jonviayre Bishop. According to ClickOnDetroit, Bishop was last seen with her mother at a market on August 1, before she left without permission. Her last known whereabouts were near her residence on the 1400 block of East Jefferson Avenue.
Bishop was reportedly last seen wearing a brown outfit. Standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds, she has brown hair and eyes. A concerning factor in her disappearance is her mental health; as her mother noted, she suffers from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, which adds urgency to her safe return. Without permission, she must have felt an overwhelming urge that drew her away from the market that day.
The Detroit Police Department's Missing Facebook page has also shared a plea for assistance, encouraging anyone with information to come forward. "Please help us find missing Jonviayre Bishop," the post reads, echoing the family's desperation for answers.
Anyone with information about Bishop's location or any details that could aid in her search is urged to contact the Detroit Police Department’s 7th Precinct at 313-596-5740. Alternatively, those wishing to remain anonymous can reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up.
